The European Commission approved the Communication Plan of the Hungary-Slovakia Cross-border Co-operation Programme 2007-2013
23 May 2008

For each Operational Programme financed by the European Commission, a plan has to be prepared to describe the communication strategy of the programme for the whole period.

This document defines the messages, objectives in terms of information, which is to be delivered to the defined target groups throughout the whole period of programme implementation. This requirement forces the programme bodies to face and consider the methods and instruments of providing information effectively in a framework of inter-related communication activities.

The Managing Authority is responsible to ensure the effective communication about the programme and its environment, but the Joint technical Secretariat is the body to operate these instruments. Relating to this, the Joint Technical Secretariat elaborated the draft of this document, which was discussed by the partners representing the two Member States and was submitted to the European Commission before the official deadline.
The European Commission examined and approved the document in May to be the official Communication Plan for the Hungary-Slovakia Cross-border Co-operation Programme.
