The first CALL FOR PROPOSALS is published in the frame of Hungary-Slovakia Cross-border Co-operation Programme 2007 - 2013

Date interval: 15 October 2008 - 17 December 2008

The National Development Agency acting as the Managing Authority and the National Authority for Hungary in co-operation with the Ministry of Construction and Regional Development of the Slovak Republic as the National Authoity for Slovakia has launched the first Call for Proposals under the programme.

Programme and financing source: Hungary–Slovakia Cross-border Co-operation Programme 2007-2013 approved by the EC Decision C/2007/6488
Eligible area: Supported projects are required to be implemented within the eligible area of the programme, defined in the Hungary-Slovakia Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013, in particular in the area of 8 NUTS III territorial units in Hungary and 5 self-governing regions in Slovakia.

Eligible applicants: Lead Partners and Project Partners have to be organizations falling into one of the following categories:
  • public authorities
  • public equivalent bodies
  • organisations operated in the form of European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation
  • non-governmental organisations established under the private law carrying out public purpose activities in line with the programme’s objectives (NGOs) including non-for profit organization.

Deadline: Specific deadlines for each action are defined in the section 6.4 of Guide for Applicants
Actions and indicative funds available: The indicative amount of 71 014 050 EUR is available for this call from which the sum of up to 63 538 887 EUR will be financed by the ERDF.
The indicative financial allocations for the respective actions are listed in the table below. The final budget awarded to this call, following the evaluation of the projects may vary based on the number of submitted proposals.

Assessment procedure: Submitted applications and concept notes will be assessed based on the assessment criteria (including weights and thresholds) as approved by the Joint Monitoring Committee of the programme. Provisional timetable: Provisional notification date of theCall for Proposals\' results is foreseen in February 2009.
